Narrative- Promoting Child Development
To properly support children's development, it's important to understand the different domains of development and what that looks like for each child, and areas of need. Such as fine motor skills.
Center Goals
Children will engage in fine motor activities Utilizing pincer grasp, palm grasp, stacking blocks, sorting etc. Children will familiarize themselves with matching and sorting shapes by using the shape visual I created. Some children may be able to identify some shapes but that is not the norm. However, providing a visual as well as words supports learning. Although the children aren't able to read yet, early exposure to words and literature supports later literacy development.
